Great Sutton Male Voice Choir's Calendar celebrates a quarter of a century's existence. The 1976 Calendar consisted of thirteen separate A4 sheets, collated by choir members and friends moving around a large table, and finished with a plastic spline and hanger. Subsequent versions have been by Plan 4 and their predeccesors Rapid Offset.
The early calendars were a combined effort with the lettering by Trevor Gibson, choir sectretary. When Trevor left the district in 1979 Conductor Emrys Williams took on the lettering as well as the illustrations. Similar Calendars were produced as fund raisers for our friends Cestrian, Liverpool, Highfield, Warrington and Nastola (Finland) Male Voice Choirs, and a special one for a Scottish Choir whose treasurer had absconded with their funds.
Since moving into water-colour in 1990 others have been helped with special versions, notably the National Eisteddfod, the Urdd National Eisteddfod (Welsh League of Youth) and the North Wales Association of Male Voice Choirs.
The Choir's Calendar 2002 - in two versions, English and Bi-lingual - is already printed. It is available as a fund-raiser for Choirs, Churches, Schools, Charities - or any other worthy organisation - at a generous discount.
